Investigation for asbestos & man-made mineral fibres
Indoor air measurements to VDI 3492, ISO 14966
In line with the federal states’ asbestos guidelines – “Guideline for the assessment and remediation of weakly bound asbestos products in buildings” – measurements of the concentration of asbestos fibres in indoor air are required to verify the success of asbestos remediation and the effectiveness of interim measures.
These measurements are carried out to VDI 3492 “Measurement of indoor air pollution – Measurement of inorganic fibrous particles – Scanning electron microscopy method” and to ISO 14966.
- VDI 3492
- ISO 14966
- ÖNORM EN ISO 16000-7
- Survey to § 27 GKV
In Austria, before demolition or remediation, § 27 GKV requires a competent survey when insufficient information is available. This is especially relevant for buildings constructed or renovated before 1990 (Asbestos Ordinance BGBl. 324/1990).
We carry out indoor air measurements and material tests in cooperation with competent partners – including to ÖNORM EN ISO 16000-7. This documents the success of remediation and the effectiveness of interim measures in a traceable way.
